Interfaith Caring Ministries

Volunteers Needed to help in the resale shop and to assist senior citizens

By Interfaith Caring Ministries

Have you made any great resolutions for the New Year? Did any of those include volunteering for a worthwhile cause? Interfaith Caring Ministries is a local, social service non-profit agency that depends on volunteers to provide services to our neighbors in need. There are several different areas of service that currently need volunteers:

Senior Companions

- ICM’s Senior Outreach program provides services to 110 homebound senior citizens each month who live in the Clear Lake and Dickinson area.

This position is perfect for the volunteer who loves senior citizens and would like to spend quality time with them. Senior companions drive our clients to doctor appointments, the grocery store or run other short errands with them as time permits.

This volunteer position has a very flexible schedule.

Administration

ICM is seeking an afternoon receptionist who answers phones, greets visitors and clients, performs general administrative duties and makes appointments for clients.

At this time, we need an on call receptionist who would work as needed.

Resale Shop
All shifts need volunteers to help organize, sort, price and display items donated to the ICM Resale Shop. The ICM Resale Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00am until 7:00pm.

Training for all positions is provided.

If you would like information concerning any of these positions, please contact Janey Nelson, Director of Volunteers at ICM at (281) 332-3881.
