Religion: A Pastor PondersLetting Goby Pastor William Jenkins April 29, 2005
As we talked I reminded this person that she had turned her problem this way and that way and any number of other ways without getting any resolution. As a matter of fact, I said, You have turned this problem every way but loose. It can be very difficult to turn some things loose: problems, worries, money, plans, habits, loved ones, etc. To turn loose is what Jesus asks of those who would follow Him. Let go of everything, He says. Let go of your pride, your cares, your possessions, your life; turn everything loose and follow Me. Turning loose is evidence of confidence in the faithfulness of God, that whenever we turn loose, God takes hold. Sure it takes a lot of courage to put things in Gods hands
