Clear Creek campuses honored by Texas Monthly

From Clear Creek Independent School District

December 7, 2006

LEAGUE CITY – Texas Monthly Magazine has published a list of the top public schools in Texas for 2006. Clear Creek ISD has eight campuses on the list. Congratulations to the following; Brookwood Elementary, Falcon Pass Elementary, North Pointe Elementary, Stewart Elementary, Brookside Intermediate, Seabrook Intermediate, Space Center Intermediate and Victory Lakes Intermediate.

The Austin-based National Center for Educational Accountability (formerly Just for the Kids), a research arm of the University of Texas identified the best elementary, middle, and high schools by analyzing how students fare in measurable curricular areas—reading, writing, math, science, and social studies—and taking the demographic makeup of the student body into account.

Not every school is measured in every area, but the more areas in which a school is deemed higher performing, the better that school is. If your school is on the list you have a lot to be proud of. Congratulations to those campuses that were honored.
